The final film in our trilogy by the legendary Japanese animator, Hayao Miyazaki: his Oscar-award winning masterpiece, Spirited Away.

The Story: Spirited Away tells the story of Chihiro Ogino (Hiiragi), a moody 10-year-old girl who, while moving to a new neighbourhood, enters the world of Kami (spirits) of Japanese Shinto folklore.  After her parents are transformed into pigs by the witch Yubaba (Natsuki), Chihiro takes a job working in Yubaba's bathhouse to find a way to free herself and her parents and return to the human world.

In 2017, the NYT names this "the best film of the 21st Century (so far)."
In 2016, it was rated the 4th best picture of all time by film critics around the world.

I've never been quite so sure why Spirited Away became this break-out hit:  the top-grossing Japanese film of all time.  Is it really better than the other Miyazaki masterpieces?  Well, if you come for three consecutive nights, you can decide.
