Microscope: A Collaborative Game of Historic Proportions

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Microscope is a diceless role-playing/world-building game in which 3-5 players all work together collaboratively to create a history of some setting, which can be anything in their imagination. Want to invent the rise and fall of a magic-heavy fantasy empire? The slow death of interstellar travel for a human-settled galaxy? The Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, gritty apocalypse version? Absolutely anything goes. The actual mechanics of the game involve a timeline made of index cards, which the players add one at a time, non-chronologically (meaning, you can lay down the end of a civilization first, then decide how it started later).
Join this fun and creative exercise, meet new friends, explore new worlds!

Hopes & Dreams
Encourage people's imagination, teamwork, maybe a bit of role-playing, and most importantly, HAVE FUN!

Participation
I find that the game is only really feasible with up to 4 or 5 players. No gaming experience necessary, and just about any age range over 12 is okay.

Why Participate?
If you've ever wanted to tell epic stories about an imaginative world, Microscope will be hours of fun for you.
