You can run but you cannot hide! You'll need all your ninja skills and senses to survive and win this enormous group game of Assassin!  The first 200 Campers who elect to play will be a part of this retreat-long game.  Winners will win some fun prizes, but the real reward is getting to know your fellow Campers in an entirely new way.  Intrigued?  Read on....

"Assassin" Game Rules:
Once arrived, everyone who is present and participating will be given a small rubber duck (about 2 inches big), and assigned the name of a Target to eliminate. This duck acts as both a weapon and a shield. The goal of the game is to find a moment where your Target is not holding their duck (which acts as a shield which protects from being eliminated), and to physically touch them with your own duck (which acts as the assassination weapon). If you are 'assassinated', (touched by the person who is assigned your name while you are not holding your own duck for defense), you are 'out'. If you successfully eliminate your Target, you acquire your Target's assigned Target, and you try to eliminate that new person. The game ends when only one player remains in the game.
WHY PARTICIPATE?
This game is good for DWeb Camp because it encourages people to get to know each other's names, and to join new circles of people in order to gain access to their Target; games have gotten sophisticated, where "information brokers" develop to introduce people to their Target, or trading of Targets when there are insufficient ways to access the Target -- this game is generally lighthearted and good fun. It encourages a little bit of healthy paranoia, which keeps the game interesting.
We will also implement "safe zones" such as anyone presenting or hosting a workshop is immune to elimination during their talk, or "anyone attending a workshop is immune" which would encourage people to participate in more workshops in order to benefit from elimination immunity. Learn the rules at our Opening Circle.
Then the fun begins!
